Welcome to Hebb Heritage Homestead. I'm Hallie Patch, and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by to learn a little more about our story.

Our Homestead began as a return to the life that first shaped me. I grew up on a farm in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where animals, changing seasons, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the land were simply part of everyday life. As the years passed, I felt increasingly drawn back to those roots and to the rich Scandinavian heritage of my family. Travels to places like Iceland and Montana only deepened that connection, inspiring my love for heritage breeds and the traditional ways people have lived alongside animals and worked with the land for generations.

At the heart of Hebb Heritage Homestead is a simple belief that the animals in our care deserve a good life. We raise them with kindness and respect, with fresh air, room to roam and forage, and the freedom to express their natural behaviors. We believe in caring for the land just as thoughtfully, using what it provides with gratitude, wasting little, and preserving the traditions of a more self-sufficient way of life.

That philosophy also reflects another important part of who I am. I have spent my career as a cardiac nurse practitioner caring for people and seeing firsthand how the choices we make every day can shape our health over a lifetime. That experience has given me a deep appreciation for wholesome, minimally processed foods, knowing where our food comes from, and returning to simpler ways of nourishing ourselves and our families. Hebb Heritage Homestead brings all of these pieces of my life together—my love for animals, my nursing career, my White Mountains upbringing, and my Scandinavian roots. It is my way of returning home to the traditions that shaped me while creating something meaningful to share with others.
